Beach?

Hi, Can anyone recommend a good beach to go to? We will be staying at the Westin.

Thanks

Are you talking about sandy beaches? They are all in the north of the island. Have you got transport or will you be using the buses?

Few options are:

Mellieha Bay - very popular and usually very busy but probably the longest beach which very gently slopes from shallow to deep water

Golden Sands

Ghajn Tuffieha

Armier

Paradise Bay

Just thought of another one - little Armier

and of course on Gozo - Ramla l-hamra or otherwise known as Ramla Bay (not to be confused with Ramla Bay Resort in Malta

Well...there is a beach at St. George's Bay, just down the road form the Westin. It's a manmade beach though...and not large, but i thought you should know about it. Many young people there in summer, that's what makes it cool.

Yeah but it's tiny and right on the road - the one at St George's Bay I mean.

The beach at St Georges (near the Westin) is not really man made. It was always a small sandy beach but a few years ago the Gov. imported suitable sand and extended the beach.

There used to be a good rocky beach near the Westin - it`s obviously still there but I don`t know if it has been swallowed up by one of the hotels.

There is of course the rocky beach all along the St Julians/Sliema Promenade.

You can usually make use of the pools of the Water Polo Clubs by paying a small fee.
