Bad news for those that are travelling today and tomorrow from Ireland and the south of the UK .

Be prepared for disruptions and delays, contact your travel agent or airline before leaving home , in my opinion !

At this stage only tomorrow’s morning flights to London Heathrow and London Gatwick – KM100 and KM116 respectively are being directly affected and are expected to depart Malta International Airport at 1100am. All other Air Malta’s flights are currently operating as per normal schedule.

Must not panic - due to depart from Gatwick next Monday (Edin-Gatwick on the Sunday evening) and I'm feeling very nervous - trying to make contingency plans in head just now but it gets all so complicated. Will be watching all websites every day - just want a smooth journey from Edinburgh, overnight stay at Gatwick and fly to lovely Malta on the Monday - fingers crossed we're not stuck in Edinburgh or Gatwick next week!

I know, I really don't mind if it prevents us getting home but so so need to get out there! Sorry you didn't have an extended holiday!
