Which resort for Malta in Feb?

We are visiting for 7 nights on Feb 4th, just the 2 of us. I haven't been for 15years and then it was middle of summer. Hubbie has never been. Stayed in Sliema before and can't decide if that would be the best place with it being out of season.

Is St Julian's busy in the winter? Have heard its bad in summer and don't fancy it? Or maybe Qarwa would be better?

Anybody got an tips for going in winter?

Thanks

Sliema would be fine. As it is right next to St Julians it hardly matters which you stay in because they are practically the same place.

Malta is an all round destination and is fairly busy in February but not as busy as July and August.

The weather in February can be a bit mixed so you have to make the best of it and enjoy your stay.

Qawra is also popular and is a nice place to stay during the winter.

When you say it is quite busy in Feb, do you mean that St Julians will be full of students and noisy at night? I have heard that is what it is like in summer? Although we don't want to be out in the middle of nowhere and too quiet I also don't want to be in a place full of teenagers at night

thanks

St Julians is usually quite busy in the area of Paceville where all the youngsters go clubbing , especially at weekends.

The rest of the town won`t be too busy.

Sliema also won`t be too lively.

Remember that Sliema and St Julians are residential areas that have a number of hotels. Bars, pubs, restaurants are frequented by locals as well as tourists. If the weather is fine the Promenade will have people strolling during the day and also some in the evenings.

Paceville is a very small area of St Julians easily by-passed . In February during the week there won't be many youngsters there. And even during the weekends there will be much less of them than in summer. The young foreign students really only come in Summer.

The Ferries area of Sliema is lively during the day unless it's REALLY bad weather. People from all over Malta come there for shopping and a coffee
