New Year's Eve buses in Malta

Arriva will be offering a special night bus service after 11pm on New Year’s Eve, from Valletta direct to various localities.

The full list of routes can be found here: timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20131220/loca… but the ones to the places where tourists normally stay will be...

- N13 to Sliema and St.Julians

- X30 to Bugibba and Qawra

- X40 to St.Pauls, Mellieha and Cirkewwa

Special tickets for the night service will be available for €5.00 from all Arriva Ticket Booths, or can be purchased on-board the daytime services from the driver. These tickets include the trip from Valletta after the celebrations and unlimited use of the daytime bus service throughout the day on December 31.

Please note that due to the high amount of people that use this service, special NYE bus tickets must be bought in advance as they will not be sold on the night.

Good information as usual Phil - but what happens I wonder when Arriva pull out of Malta early in the New Year.

Quite. I have therefore set up another thread to deal with this situation.

However, fortunately it should not affect the buses on NYE.
