St.Julians OR Sliema?!

Hi,

My Mum and I are visiting Malta for the first time in June, and are just wondering which resort would be better for us?

We enjoy sightseeing, lots of shopping, and spend our evenings in a nice restaurant. We like to have things to do in the evenings, and I'm worried that Sliema may not have enough to do? (although we don't want loud pubs etc)

Many Thanks,

Jemma

The 2 places are virtually next to each other .. a walk along the promenade. Sliema does give the best access into Valletta and so the main bus terminus that serves the rest of the island.

Hi Jemma

St Julians and Sliema are next to each other and are only about 15/20 minute bus ride to Valletta so everywhere in Malta is easy to get to.

St, Julians is the clubbing capitol of Malta but Sliema has a lot of good bars, cafes and restaurants.

Either town would be suitable and the other one is only a short walk away so you could use both in the evenings.

Enjoy your stay.

Graham.

Have a look at the Top Question on the right. It gives a good description and video clip of Sliema and also of St Julians.

The Ferries is the commercial hub of Sliema with lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and harbour cruises.

There are more restaurants in St Julians but Sliema is better for shops and cafes.

They run into one another, you don't even notice that you have walked out of Sliema into St Julian's so find the accomodation that suits you as either is fine
