Advice Please!!

We will be in Malta for 2 weeks from the 29th March - 12 April.

l would like to know if many of the 'tourist' sites are closed during the Freedom day/ Easter holidays.

l can't seem to find the sites with the open times.

Also any special festivities that go on on' Freedom day' - March 31st?

1. Re: Advice Please!!

You should find plenty going in especially in the lead up to Easter. There are many Good Friday processions, a few on Easter Sunday too. Lots of Last supper displays on all over the island.

Type in Easter in the search box and you will see plenty of previous posts.

Most places will be closed on Good Friday, maybe Easter Sunday too but other than that I'd say business as usual

In addition to what Twirl said, Freedom Day is a public holiday but any festivities would not be the sort that a tourist would enjoy (political speeches and entertainment in maltese). On Easter Sunday the maltese like to go for family Sunday lunch in restaurants so make sure you make reservations if you're not having lunch at your hotel. Otherwise it's business as usual and you should have no problems at all, by the way, we are having some lovely weather this time of year.
