In desperate need of information, if anyone could help, especially gracious vagabondo!! Have a flight book on a upcoming Saturday from Palermo to home, and prior to that, will be in Malta. The dilemna has been attempting to leave on a Friday from Malta and taking the ferry to sicily in hopes of getting to Palermo easily and within reasonable time, to spend that Friday night in Palermo to catch the flight the next day. I did a lot of research and came to find out that taking the ferry from Malta to Pozzallo or Ragusa and then attemtping to get to Palermo easily, since limited Italian is spoken and are trying to get there in half a day, was not possible. Now discovered and believe the ferry from Malta to Cantania is about 4 hours? Since we can handle that time, what about the connection to Palermo via the train? Does anyone know how far the ferry port in Cantania is from the train to Palemero and the best way to get there? Also, would the trip be direct and would you say that taking the ferry to cantania then to Palermo woudl be the easiest and less confusing and more convient way? Lastly, this hassel is simply to make a flight leaving from Palermo. Does anyone think it is worth it, like Palermo and Cantania being a must see city? Since the time is limited there and we will have our luggage in transit, prob not possibly to do sightseeing on the way unless it was really worth it and easy. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE WHO REPLIES AS I AM IN A REAL GRIND!!!! THANK YOU!!!! ITS SO APPRECIATED!!!
