Take a non-stop train from Munich to Lindau on Lake Constance (Bodensee), f you book in advance with DB you might be able to get the 22.- EUR fare. http://www.bahn.de/p/view/index.shtml

In Lindau buy a 4 Zone -domino- ticket for 3.20 EUR from the Vorarlberg Transport System and take the -S- Bahn train to Schaan in Liechtenstein and here you connect to the bus to Vaduz.

Or you could rent a car: almost 100% on highways with no major complications.

Wiscingit,

May-be you could develop a bit your very short and blunt statement?

My husband and I finally managed to go to Vaduz from Munich by train.

It's quite easy though and better than renting a car which is more expensive if you only have 1 day. We changed our schedule, so we could only stay 1 night in Liechtenstein.

We took the train from Munich to Buchs, Switzerland, because there's no train in Liechtenstein. Before Buchs the train changed once in St.Margrethen. Then we just took a bus to Vaduz which was only about 20 minutes drives from Buchs. The bus stop is right outside the rail station.

In Liechtenstein you can easily go anywhere, from one place to another, by bus as the bus service is very good and the time table is very precise. The ticket can be paid in the bus.

When you arrive in Vaduz, just get a country map and the bus time table from the Tourist Information or from your hotel then your every move in there will be just fine.

We actually stay in Oberland Hotel in Triesenberg which is another 20 minutes by bus from Vaduz.

The hotel is small but beautiful. The room is very clean, neat and cozy.

My one day experience in Liechtenstein was really good. I can say that Liechtenstein is a beautiful and peaceful country with its beautiful Alps mountain view. I like this country so much and one day will definitely come back for more days.

I hope this information would be quite useful for any one who has planned a trip to Liechtenstein.

Yes there is a train in Liechtenstein !

It is operated by the Austrian Railways ÖBB from Feldkirch to Buchs with a stop in Schaan.
