Dome beach hotel wedding

Hi!

We are thinking of booking the dome beach hotel near ayia napa for our wedding next year in sept. has anyone been there this year since the refurb? Have all rooms been done up? Is the adult only pool actually adult only ie no kids? What is the entertainment like? Where are the weddings held? Thanks for your help! X

Hi, we have just returned from Cyprus after staying at the Dome Beach Hotel for two weeks and having our wedding at the Dome Beach Hotel on 31/7/12. The hotel is fabulous since the refurb, and still under refurb as during the winrer months of 2012 the hotel will undergo more work to the restaurant areas etc, so next year sould be even better. The rooms we stayed in accomodated 3. Very nicely, modery decor with a huge comfy double bed. Although the extra bed was a camp bed and not very comfortable for our 12 year old daughter at all, we have mentioned this to the Hotel Manager whom said this was being addressed. Pool area very clean, we tended to use the adult pool, although this was still used by children this did not bother us at all. The childrens pool, in a more shady area was very busy with loads of smaller children and used for more activities such as 'Fun Fitness', pool games.

We arranged our wedding through 'Aphodite Wedding Services' whom I have to say were absolutely fantastic throughout, they liaised with the Tsokkos Wedding Co-ordinator, Angela Bence who was also fantastic. We were offered a choice of two venues for the wedding, one on the balcony with a sea view and the other under a huge gazibo just off the beach which is where we chose as I had always dreamed of stepping onto the sand in my wedding dress. On the day of the wedding all hotel guests were informated that there was a wedding taking place, and Angela ensured that the walkway was clean and clear for me and my bridesmaids. The red carpet was laid on the walkway alongside the beach to the gazibo which was excellent. The gazibo was set out with beautiful white covered chairs and a table with flowers candles, champagnue where the registrar conducted the ceremony. Maria (the only Cyprus lady registrar) conducted the wedding beatifully and made us feel so special. The hotel played the music of our choise and looked after us. After photo's we were escorted to the main restaurant where the Restaurant Manager had set out a separate area for us with beautiful table and chair decor. He also had a waitress just for us, and they were absolutely fantastic throughout.

What can I say our wedding was just perfect exactly as we had dreamed of and more, no stress no hassel at all, thanks for excellent wedding planners 'Aphrodite wedding, Wendy and Suzanne, Tsokkos weddings Angela Bence and all the staff and Management from the Dome Beach Hotel. ps we are thinking of booking for next year at the Dome Beach Hotel.

Um getting married at the dome beach in sept 2014 on the terrace. I don't mind the all inc being off that day but with only a small group 4 adults 2 children I don't want a reception there costing 200 euros plus price per person for a meal and drinks on top. My wedding is at 16.30 so was thinking of a local restaurant but I've read somewhere that the hotel charges 400 euros of reception is NOT held at hotel. Can someone clarify please. Thanks
