Orthodox Easter - restaurants etc

We will be touring Cyprus staying in hotels on 2nd - 5th May which I have realised is Orthodox Easter. We will have breakfast at hotels, but will restaurants be open daytime and evening? Will petrol stations be open?

Thanks in anticipation of your replies

Easter is the major festival, many people will return to their villages and on Troodos it will be packed and if the weather is good it will be even more crowded as the forest BBQs will be in heavy use. The good restaurants I suspect are booked well in advance. We do not go far from home over this time as you may find that village centres will be blocked off for several hours for a festival. A local village has stalls down the closed off main road and queues to go into the church to kiss the icons and light candles, this is on Easter Monday around the middle of the day. So an interesting time to be travelling around.
