Hi All
Anyone recommend any hotels in cyprus which allow fishing from the shore?
Many thanks
steve
The hotels wouldn't have any say about fishing from the shore as all beaches are public in Cyprus. I see people fishing from the shore all along the coastline of Paphos. I'm not sure what they catch........

Fish?
From the Greenpeace website....
"Fish stock levels in the Mediterranean Sea are alarmingly low. The European Environment Agency says that over 65 percent of all fish stocks in the region are outside safe biological limits and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation, that some of the most important fisheries – such as albacore and bluefin tuna, hake, marlin, swordfish, red mullet and sea bream - are threatened."

Unless he spear fishing or intending to use dynamite or something, he can always put them back.

People are always fishing from Maroni beach, and the new Marina in neighbouring Zygi, both in Larnaca district. You don't need a licence to go fishing from the shore.
(We're going fishing on the weekend, but I'll pop by the psaragora for a couple of brim before we crank up the BBQ.)
Good luck!
