Kalavasos still an authentic village?

In november me and my girlfriend and than 2-year old daughter are hoping to go to Cyprus. After working with tourists all year, we like to have a quiet time in a village in Cyprus. We are not looking for big hotels, swimming pools and touristy things, but we would like to stay in a family pension in a peaceful Greek style village. We will be renting a car, so we can do day trips and the beach doesn't have to be really close.

I found a really nice pension in the village of Kalavasos. So for the Cyprus experts: could this be the place we are looking for? Or do i have to look at a different part of Cyprus. Also, are there any nice quiet beaches not too far from there (within an hour driving distance)?

Thanks!
