Cyprus paradise?

Hi There,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the company 'Cyprus Paradise'. Their prices seem reasonable but would like to hear of anyone who has booked with them before or indeed any other good company who deal with Northern Cyprus?

Thanks again for any advice x

Hi, I would take a look at Green Island Holidays, www.greenislandholidays.com, we have travelled with them on a number of occasions, I find Cyprus Paradise expensive by comparison, for essentially the same thing, there is also Anitolian Sky, or Mosaic Holidays, however value wise I always go back to Green Island, take a look see what you think.

Hi Again

Just seen your post re Cyprus Paradise. Keep your eye on this one as they are reported to be inslight difficulties with bookings way down this year. They are trying to get the Government to subsidise the flights which are way above the true cost of getting to North Cyprus. I think it may well occur that a number of tour operators will, in the not too distant future, face similar financial problems.

Most of our dealings with CP have been good, their reps are English and turn up when they are supposed to. However, we have had problems with them and consequently don`t use them anymore. Green Island are cheap but their reps were mostly unobtainable or very poor at speaking / understanding English judging from our 1 holiday with them.

Hi,

We booked our holiday this year with Cyprus Paradise. For our hotel they had the best price compared to other companies. The reps were very helpful and turned up on time. We had the smoothest transfer from airport to hotel and back that I have had for a long time.

Given what the reps actually do for you, meet you at the airport, get you on the bus at the airport, and off at the hotel, and reverse the procedure at the end of the holiday, maybe try and sell you a trip you dont want or assist you with car hire which is more expensive than you can arrange yourself, are not sufficient reason to pay more than you need to with some companies who travel to North Cyprus, anyone who has been more than once doesn`t need a rep, Green Island reps have always been friendly and polite, they are as polite with you as you are with them, and do not bother you if you are happy to go it alone, imagine how they must feel when the latest batch of stuffy old farts get on their bus and whinge for the next week or fortnight, spare a thought on your next trip!!.

Also, Shannon, reps may, as in our case, be required for other things. If one of your party has recently recovered from surgery it is reassuring to know there is someone ( or not in Green Islands case ) around who can help and understand what the problem is.

We have been with CP twice - Riverside and Kings Court - sad to hear they are in trouble - this suprises me as all the flights from Manchester are fully booked for weeks ahead!

We found CP to be fine to book with etc but we did not see nor need them once we got there. It is a lovely part of Cyprus and just recently returned from the south I know which side we prefer - the wonderful north, although it is now getting more touristy since we first visited 6/7 years ago.

We have also travelled with Green Island and Mosaic - they are all a much of a muchness - it is the price that is the difference. Some of them do late deals and you save an awful lot of money if you can do short notice.

Take a guide book, it is useful for getting around, a hire car is well worth the money as driving there is so easy.

Have a nice holiday

Jan

hate to keep going on about our holiday with Green Island.....but they are cheaper than Cyprus Paradise. Just don't believe all you read in the brochure.....its makes everywhere look far better than it is. The Reps....well, we had dealings with several, one useless, one more interested in his phone calls, one ok but the best one stuck with us thru' thick and thin and helped us loads..Helen. without her help, the holiday would have been worse. My husband had an accident at The Rocks hotel (poor maintance)and we could not have done without her help and persistence with the management,
