exchanging of travellers cheques

Are Euro travellers cheques accepted for exchange at money changers or banks or hotels in Larnaca?

What about credit cards?

Just be careful of the cost of changing euro cheques..our hotel last year was charging 5% and was limited to changing 100 euro per day...soon adds up over yout stay...the bank was no better they refused to change them as we did not have a cypriot bank account!

There were kiosks/shops that fared better but this year we just going to take a pre loaded travel card and some money.

Yes, it is getting more and more difficult to change travellers cheques where ever you go. You can change them in the shops but they don't give you as good a rate as they do for cash.

Credit cards are fine.

Thanks to all for your replies. Travellers Cheques seem safe but difficult to change. The problem is that i have some left over from the last holiday !!

What about changing at the airport exchange counters in Larnaca?
