Family and border crossing

So we will be in Cyprus for 4 days this Fall and wanted to take a peek at the old town on the North side of the border. It will be my wife and I and three children, one in a stroller. We are well traveled but this is not the norm and wanted to check in with those that are familiar with the area and the logistics to see if it would be a good safe experience for the family.

Yes do go , Its very easy , As said take all passports , They dont get stamped you get a temporary visa ( just a piece of paper really , but dont lose it ) , And off you go , You sound as if you are going to walk over , But if you are going by car there are / can be insurance issues ..
