If you head towards the Harbour, but instead of going along the actual harbour, turn right into the shopping arcade after Tea for two.....go through the arcade, up all the steps, and you will be on bar St when you get to the top

Come out of the Limnaria complex onto Poseidonos Avenue and turn right towards the Harbour. You will pass the Alex the Great Hotel on the left hand side of the road, and when you see the Almyra Hotel - again on the left, there is a right turn, and looking right you will see the Keg and Barrel pub. This is the top end of Bar Street.

Having walked down the full length of Bar Street whilst in Paphos in

June of last year, it was clearly obvious quite a number of bars were

closed down and looked in a " poorly state ".

I was in the resort again in May/June this year and, from what I heard

then, there was little change.

How anyone views this would be dependant on what you you think

of this area of Paphos.

I was there in May last year and Bar St was desolate, and as described by the person above. The surrounding area isn't great really. Years ago it was buzzing - lively bars, restaurants with a real local feel, but it's pretty grotty now.

We were there last week, and it's not good. The Keg & Barrel and Linekers one end, Flares, Notorious and two or three others around the bend, and the Red Lion and Robin Hood at the end. More closed bars than open ones. Flares was the busiest, and packed with youth, and the Robin Hood was more chilled, so we preferred there. It was busy at the weekend when the locals came out, but very quiet mid week.
