Nice to Monte Carlo on 3 Jan 09

Can anyone advise if the buses or trains goes from Niceville to Monte Carlo on 3 Jan? Have been trying to look for trains, seems like it's either fully booked or not available.

Not sure how to check for the buses.

Thanks!

You don't need to book a train between Nice and Monaco, you can just turn up, buy a ticket and get on. It's a 15 to 20 minute journey. For buses it's pretty much the same. They start at the bus station (gare routiere) and on a Sunday leave about every 20 minutes, the number 100 or 100x (express bus), cost 1 euro. Buses stop running at about 20:00. Train times are here ter-sncf.com/Images/Paca/Tridion/FH04-Mandel… - they aren't included in the main online SNCF site.

The 100 and 100X buses both stop at the casino - click the website posted by monacoCabbie above.

Did i understand this correctly?

The direct bus from Nice airport to MC costs 28.5 return, but from the bus station in Nice to MC costs just 1 euro one-way?

So how much, and how easy, to get from the airport to the bus station?

thanks

Nice Airport to Nice bus station - bus 98, 4 euros single. The savings you make on the cost may well be outweighed by the time taken and the hassle involved. Direct bus from airport to Monaco will drop you at your hotel, is direct, and can take as little as 30 to 40 mins depending on the time of day. Taking the bus to Nice and changing will take at least 2 hours. You may be charged for large bags on the Nice to Monaco leg, and depending on the time of day, you will have to fight to get on, not easy if you have large bags.
