You've chosen the wrong time of year if you're looking for cheap places. May is Grand Prix time and prices will be double what they usually are. Also, there are no camp sites in Monaco. There's a parking for camper vans, but you're not allowed to stay in the camper van when it's parked. During Grand Prix, there's a camper van park set up in Cap d'Ail, next to Monaco, but it fills up quickly with Italians. There are a couple of campsites in Menton, I think there's one above Eze, then there are several in the Antibes area. Post in the Riviera Cote d'Azur forum for information on these.
