Ideas for a weekend in the snow for non-skiers?

Hi all,

My questions is quite specific so might be a long shot but thought worth asking in case anyone has any ideas....

A group of 6 of us (work colleagues) go on an annual weekend away in December (we went to Munich last year) and this year we thought it would be nice to try and go somewhere like Austria for a weekend somewhere snowy! I'm looking for a place that's easily accessible from a major german/austrian airport, such as Munich, Salzburg, Innsbruck etc. We will not be skiing so doesn't need to be a major resort or anything, just somewhere with nice scenery where there are a few bars to get some beers in!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

Hi,

Well, nice Resorts near to an Airport would be for example the Stubaital. For example Fulpmes or Neustift.

This valley is easily accessible from Innsbruck.

Near Salzburg St. Johann im Pongau , Zell am See or Radstadt would be an Option.

Ofcourse, in December you never know if there will be snow. In Stubaital of Zell am See/Kaprun you could go up to a glacier.

Kind regards, Chrissy
