I'm thinking of factoring in Euro 50 per day for food (breakfast, lunch & dinner) together for me and my wife.
To clarify - this is going to be a 'shoestring budget' trip. We're not looking for any fancy fine-dining/ sit-down restaurants here. We're perfectly happy with McDonalds, Subway, Taco Bell (if you have them there), Pizza Hut or street-food. Also, we're vegetarians so we're not looking for expensive non-veggie meals like steaks and beef/ pork etc. Even for the breakfast, we've purposely not opted for our hotels' breakfasts because they were kind of steep @ 10/ 15 Euros per person per day. For BF, we're okay to eat a couple of sandwiches/ street food etc.
Given the above conditions, is Euro 50 per day sufficient?
I'm coming from the fact that in my 2010 trip through Greece, we got sandwiches for about 3-4 Euro a piece and a 12 incher cheeze pizza for about 7-8 Euro. However, I'd love to hear from the experts.
