Salzburg in January

We are thinking of going to Salzburg for a couple of nights in January. Can anyone suggest things worth doing at this time of year? Thanks.

Pretty much everything you would do the rest of the year.

Just bring some warm clothes and a good waterproof jacket, hat and gloves.

If you get time take a bus out into the lake district.

Thanks for the tips. Can you recommend any of the Sound of Music tours or are they all pretty much the same?

som tours are all basically the same. however, "bobs tours" use minibuses rather than coaches, so can be far more pleasant. also, even though hallstatt village will be cold in january, it is well worth a visit, so try and get a tour that includes hallstatt. it also has a nice scenic drive.
