What to wear in swimming pools?

Can anyone tell me if men have to wear speedos in swimming pools in Austria? I have been to one place where they said no shorts. We are going to St Johann in Austria.

Not 100% sure about trunks, but do know that everyone usually has to wear swimming caps (men included)

I have never experienced that a certain type of swimsuit is required. As long as it covers what has to be covered it shall be okay!

Agree with Mikey- bathing caps and speedos - not in any pool I have been in recently.

But check the saunas rules- many prohibit any clothes

Nowadays also large, professional sport pools also allow shorts. Usually bath caps are not required anymore...

Hotels usually allow all... but Austrians go to the sauna naked (+ a towel, where you sit on).

So it's cozzies (&maybe swimming caps) in the pool, nothing but a draped towel in the sauna. What about steam rooms & jacuzzis?
