Pensions/hotels in city center for family of 4?

Would appreciate any recommendations for accomodations for family of four - children ages 9 & 15. Will only have 2 full days in city so want to be near center. Also enjoy pensions and a good value. We will be there first part of July. Should we look for a place with A/C? Thanks.

We stayed at the Pension Pertschy. Great location, great price. Our large room slept four.

BUT... We were there during the late July heatwave and the heat was almost unbearable. The windows opened onto the horses' clop clop clop and drove us crazy. It would have been well worth it to splurge for a hotel with AC.

Our friends recommend Pension Nossek, around the corner from Pertschy.

You can try the Fuerstenhof:

We loved the place. Great staff, and nice big breakfast buffet included in the price. You are from Tucson so I don't think the heat will bother you much.
