Danube cruise in November ??

We are 6 Aussie women in Vienna for 3 nights from 14th November ... and looking to do a cruise on the Danube, but hoping that its takes us out of Vienna a little, for some views of the countryside.

Alas, the posts I have had a look at say that most of the cruise companies close at the end of October.

Any other ideas??? Many thanks.

As you already know most cruises finish at the end of October.

You have several alternatives-

a special night cruise Nov. 22 " The Entertainers " Cruise along the Danube , Buffet and entertainment.

Also possible a trip via the Twin City Liner to Bratislava-

about 75 minutes - tour Bratislava and return to Vienna by train or boat.

numerous posts here regarding this boat - just use search box.

But with Christmas markets open - much to keep ou busy in Vienna.

And as Vertical and others have mentioned in other posts you can drive from Vienna to the Wachau to see the beautiful scenery. However in late November the days are quite short and the weather is unlikely to show off the scenery to its best!

Thank you Vertical and Norman ... will look into those options.

Did want to go to the Wachau region - might look into an early train, and stay a few hours.

Thanks heaps.
