Chris Rea Vienna

Going to vienna for the first time on Feb 16th and going to see Chris Rea in Wiener Stadthalle / Halle F.

Have a couple of questions, hoping for some help,

Arriving about 20.30 on thurs night and staying in Hotel Stefanie in Taborstrasse, what is the best way to get to the hotel from the airport? anywhere close by the hotel for a late dinner? We are foodies, read about a little place called Tempel??

Going to Chris Rea on Fri night, Is the Wiener Stadthalle far from the hotel? Could we use public transport to get there? Would there be anywhere nice near the concert venue for an early bird meal?

Also on Saturday night we are celebrating a special birthday so looking to go somewhere special for dinner, thought Entler sounds good from the reviews on TA but website all in german and not sure if its expensive?

All help greatly appreciated!

Take the airport bus to Wien-Morzinplatz and then walk over the bridge towards Taborstrasse. The "Stadthalle" is actually far away from your hotel. Of course, it can be reached by public transport. Closest subway station is "Burggasse/Stadthalle" (of line U6). Taborstrasse actually is fairly lively, you'll find some restaurants there. No idea regarding restaurants in the vicinity of Stadthalle.

There are many restaurants on the other side of the Gürtel in the 06th/07th district and if you take the bus 48A till Spitelberg more choices.
