All over Vienna. Particularly in the central area inside the Ringstrasse.

Enjoy your visit.

We loved the markets in front of the Rathaus and later really enjoyed the New Year's Market in front of Schonbrunn, the huge tree and the back drop of the palace at night was breath taking. Walking around Kärntner Street you will see wonderful decorations, especially beautiful at night. Enjoy your travels.

there 18 christmas markets in Vienna. I am sure you will find some nice ones.

Try also the ones more outside

Agree with uk4 that you will find great stuff all over Vienna. +1 for the markets in front of the Rathaus. Also check out Spittelberg.

The market at Freyung - city center- very nice atmosphere- nice selection of ornaments, glass, wood objects.

They have a small stage where music groups perform in late afternoon.- evening.

Several good kiosks for Punsch , and a few foodstuffs.

This is a favorite meeting place for Central Vienna city workers to have a hot drink after work.

Personally I am not a fan of the Rathaus market for any good shopping of any quality goods.

An evening visit is nicer as the adjacent small parks and the City Hall itself are nicely decorated.

Crowds can be huge - a day visit to look at the Kiosks and contents best done during the day.

The market between the Kunsthistorisches/ Fine Arts Museum and Natural History Museum close by on the Ring - nicer than the Rathaus to me - a good alternative .

This is also close to Spittelberg and can be conbined withit for a nicer visit.

Vertical - I concur about Rathaus. We went for the atmosphere. I think that had other markets been open on 11/17 we may have skipped it that being said it is good for the lights and people watching.

The Rathaus one is definitely worth visiting at night just to see all the beautiful lights in the huge trees. My favorite for shopping was the one at Am Hof. More hand-made stuff.
