Heat wave itinerary ;-)

Well, I've a strange question..

It seems that our 3 days in Vienna (next Thur-Sat) will fall in the midst of another heat wave. Thankfully, our hotel has aircon..

But the question is - are the museums and the palaces (the Schatzkammer, the Belvedere, Schonbrunn palace, Kunsthistorisches Museum, House of Music and so on) air-conditioned? Where should we go while it's hot and what places are inadvisable? We're a family with two boys (16 and 12) that comes to Europe in August to escape the heat in Israel :-)

The heat wave will continue for at least a week. So please be careful and drink a lot.

It's luck of the draw. The newer trams (modern looking ones) can have a/c, but not all. The older style trams absolutely do not have a/c. Some busses have a/c, some don't. Subway - newer style can have a/c, but not always; older style subways do not. Regional (s-bahn) trains - the old blue and white ones do not have a/c; the double decker ones and the "bullet" style ones can, but not necessarily.

Thanks, will be prepared. The program is as follows:

1. Tell the boys the only A/C places in Vienna are museums (and department stores :-) ). They ARE airconditioned, aren't they?

2. Eat mostly ice-cream (most of the restaurants don't have A/C, right? ), drink a lot of water

3. Wait for a yellow handles U-bahn
