Best Area to Stay

Looking for some advice on a first time trip to Vienna.

We are arriving by train from Munich on 17th September and departing to Cologne on the evening of 19th September.

We want to take in a concert and generally look around Vienna.

Just wondered what is the best area to stay in order to see as much as possible. We would be hoping to spend under £200 for a room with breakfast.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Best area would be the first district (postal code 1010) as that is where most of the sites are concentrated. Personally, I find booking.com a good tool for searching hotel options.

First district is the best - as Cherries mentions, the postal code is 1010. Your budget for two nights is about 120.00 Euro per night. Look for a Pension (bed and Breakfast) - you will find some nice ones in the city center that include breakfast. I always staty at the Pension Aviano - it may be a bit more than you want to pay, but the location can't be beat!
