Boat

Hello

I'm going to visit Norway in August.

My trip by car (oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Flåm, Averøy ).

In some areas of movement must be by boat.

How much cost, and you need to be booked online or upon arrival.

Car ferries are necessary parts of the road system. With the exception of some tourist services, advance booking is not possible. You just drive aboard the ferry and buy your ticket from the conducteur. Prices are regulated and not exhorbitant. A typical short ferry ride across a fjord costs around 100 NOK for car and driver.

Most of the ferries in western Norway are operated by one of these two companies, you will find more detailed information on their web sites:

There are no car ferries between Stavanger and Flåm, so not sure what you mean by steamer?

Also there is no airport in Flåm. The closest airport is in Bergen or Sogndal.

Don't forget we also have toll roads if you plan to move around with a car.

Yes, it takes time to travel around the fjords and we do not have motorways. We cannot change that - you must allow yourself enough time.

I have a question for the short ferry, do you have specific times to leave or they are working throughout the day.
