My wife and I are planning a one week trip to Norway in late May, and I would be grateful for some help in finalising our itinerary.
As background, we are both in our early thirties, relatively fit, and on a budget which permits one or two splurge occasions but not much more. We enjoy art galleries, museums and historic places, but the main purpose of the trip is to enjoy Norway's spectular natural scenery.
DAY 1 (Sat.): Full day is Oslo
DAY 2 (Sun.): Full day in Oslo
DAY 3 (Mon.): Norway in a Nutshell from Oslo to Bergen
DAY 4 (Tue.): Full day in Bergen
DAY 5 (Wed.): Collect rental car and do day trip from Bergen to see the Hardangerfjord and/or Hardangervidda (returning to Bergen for the night)
DAY 6 (Thu.): Drive from Bergen to Stavanger, night in Stavanger
DAY 7 (Fri.): Day trip from Stavanger to Pulpit Rock
DAY 8 (Sat.): Full day drive drive from Stavanger to Oslo along the national tourist route
DAY 9 (Sun.): Fly home from Oslo
Is this feasible? Is there anything we should add or delete?
Any guidance would be much appreciated!! Thanks
