Gosh, this is a very large area you are planning to cover. When are you planning to travel and how much time have you allocated for this jouney?
Bergen is considered to be the best place to start to reach the iconic fjords Sognefjorden and Hardangerfjord.
Ok. flying into Bergen is better than Oslo? I have 9 days. Good or too short?
Far, far to much in 9 days. Distances are immense. Flying into Bergen may or may not be better. Depends on how you plan to travel and which fjord. The fjord area is huge and you need to pick your fjord.
Thanks. Which fjord is recommend to see or best and in what country? Also trying to see northern light too. Please help.
When are you planning to visit Norway?
To see the Northern Lights you need to travel beyond the Arctic Circle in the winter time. The iconic fjords are in the western parts of the country and should be experienced during late spring or summer.
I suggest you do more research to plan your visit...there is no 'best' fjord.Edited: 17 June 2014, 18:38
