Trondheim to Geiranger.

Hi.

I am planning to visit Geiranger from Trondheim in august by car.

As I saw at google maps, there are 3 possibilities to go there:

- E6

- E6+E136

- E39

I would like to know what are the pros and cons between those possibilities regarding tolls and ferries' prices and of course the scenic views :)

Many thanks.

Day 2: Note that you will be backtracking towards Trondheim to get to Atlantic road.

You will be doing the Hellesylt-Geiranger ferry twice. That can be nice, but note that the quick road to Geiranger is via Eidsdal (short ferry from Linge).

Yes, you can do Atlantic road as part of the Trondheim-Molde-Ålesund drive.

If you use Google Maps and Street View you can find and see all these places. Use Get Directions for distances and estimates of driving time (although 1km per minute is a better guide than Google). It doesn't really matter which route you take as the scenery is fantastic almost everywhere in this part of Norway.
