I am planning a business trip in Sep 08, visiting Aalesund (2 days) and Kristiansund (1 day).
Instead of taking the scheduled bus from Aalesund to Kristiansund, I am contemplating driving from Aalesund to Kristiansund instead.
I read it take at least 3h+ excluding ferry crossing times (I believe 2 ferry crossings are required, one near Molde and one near Kristiansund).
Would it be possible to leave Aalesund around 17:00h on a weekday and arrive at my destination hotel in Kristiansund by midnight? I shall have a GPS Sat Nav to guide me.
Although I have driven in Europe many times covering long distances, I have only driven my own RHD cars with manual transmission. The last time I drove a LHD car with automatic transmission was in Canada 7y ago!
Would it be too ambitious for me to take on this trip? This is my first time in Norway, and I would love to see more than just airports, and would love to visit the fjords by car!
Any suggestions or advice will be much appreciated, and thanks in advance!
