Travelling from Bergen to Kristiansund by ferry

I'm hoping to travel around Norway in late April next year and would like to take in this part of the coastline by ferry. Anyone have any advice on how long/how many ferries it's likely to take?

Thanks!

Hurtigruten is the only ship sailing along the coastline: http://www.hurtigruten.co.uk/?country=UK

If you are thinking of driving this route and your question is really about car ferries across the fjords then you can consider lots of alternative routes with as few or as many ferries as you like. Google Maps is very useful for route planning and almost any option will take you though fantastic scenery nearly all the way. Your personal choice of route depends on whether you want to tick off the best known places, or explore the areas most tourists miss.

The Hurtigruten coatstal cruise ferry will get you there but you will miss most of the spectacular fjord scenery which is a long way inland from the coast.

Particularly didn't want to drive (trying to avoid the hassle of hiring cars etc for once!) Think it will be a combination of the Hurtigruten cruise ferry with trips up the fjords to get the stunning views. Have already added a few days in and around Flam. Thanks for the help!
