Visit to Malaysia

Hi

I have made my plan to visit Malaysia (Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur & Genting Higlands) at the end of November with my wife. My question is what are the places in Langkawi I can visit... I have gone through the forums but not getting a clear picture of things to do... My visit in Langkawi will be of 2 nights.... So please let me know if there is something really good things to do aprat from going on Cable Car & Sky Bridge....

Hi

Welcome.

You may find that as you have posted your quesiton on the Tanjung Bungah forum, just a small resort on Penang, and not anything near Kuala Lumpur, Genting or Langakwi, you might not get any useful replies.

Click on the following links for each of the locations you want to visit.

Kuala Lumpur - tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowForum-g298570-i7008-Ku…

Genting Highlands - tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowForum-g660784-i11834-G…

Langakawi - tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowForum-g298283-i8829-La…

Langkawi is not about doing much. It is a place where folks go to relax, and chill. The cable car and Skybridge there are the better sights, not much else.

Genting Highlands is a so so theme park and casino.

Kuala Lumpur is a great place, lots to see and do, depending on what you like.

In the various forums where you want to travel look in the left hand panel of the page and check out the ‘Travel Guide’ / ‘Inside Guides’ and ‘Things To Do’ which list lots of pointers of what to see and where to go as well as other information like restaurants, and ‘……………..Hotels’ where you see the full range of hotels / apartment rental / B&Bs etc for that area, and you can also sort by budget [and your style] as well as read recent reviews

<---------------------------

then on the right check out FAQs / top questions about . . . . . .

--------------------------->

If you are accessing via the smart phone app’ you won't see the FAQs, so suggest that you head to a laptop or pc to enjoy the information that has been collected. The Top Questions / FAQs ---> are on the right of all forum pages!

Also read JBR / just back reports / trip reports etc or search and read some of the questions already posted in this forum. Lots of really useful information about already posted.

There are some really useful information and brochures from the Tourism Malaysian about many places in Malaysia, have a read and see what appeals:

Or have a look at Trip Advisors sister website, Virtual Tourist

Taman Negara is not a good day trip option.

Agreed. Its pointless to do a day trip to Taman Negara. You need to spend at least 2 nights there to do anything meaningful.

Hi

just to add, no way is Taman Negara a day trip option. 4 hours there from the city, 5 from KUL airport, and the same back. So you dont get to see anythign!
