Things for kids to do round about Callander and Stirling

Hi we are staying near Callander in July with our sons aged 11 &15, what activites are there for them to do in this area?

Have booked the Go ape place, will be hiring bikes and will hopefully find some kayaking to do.

Might go to Stirling for the day, but have been to the castle and Wallace monument.

Could go to the old jail, have been to the one in Inverary which is excellent.

Does Stirling have a fun swimming pool or is the best one in Perth?

I would like a visit to a castle, is there a good one in this area?

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Cheers

Elaine

Doune Castle is good -- near Callander --setting for the Monty Python and the Holy Grail film.

Or go to Loch Katrine for a sail on the Sir Walter Scott up to Stronachlachar , and cycle back.
