Cream Tea

Doess anyone know the best to get a truly home-made cream tea within a 25 mile radius of Bideford. We are in Devon for a few days and like a cream tea when we are in the West Country. The very best we ever had was in a tiny cafe with a walled garden (cant remember the name), in Newquay but 60 miles is rather a long way to go for a cream tea.

Go to Westward Ho, great place called Tea Green on the Golf Links Road. All home made. It really is good & plenty of it.

If you want a really nice restaurant then just a bit further around the corner & first left is Country Cousins . It has it's main menu or Carvery. Very Tasty.

We stayed at the Nautilus Apartments in Westward Ho , you can't miss them on the corner past the Tea Green . These two places we became very regular at. You will see why.

We found a hidden treasure in Westward Ho! recently. Westward Living at Duckhaven Stud. Really lovely self catering holiday cottages with amazing views. It used to be a stud farm but has been converted into holiday cottages but they still have horses there. The hosts were amazing and could not do enough for us, we have already rebooked! They also give you a delicious home made cream tea on arrival which was a lovely surprise!
