Good value and good quality food and venue

Looking for a friendly family location for special sunday birthday lunch. Is the The Lodmoor pub of the ideal place?

See the reviews, including mine, of Hamilton's on Brunswick Terrace in Weymouth.

We had a great sunday lunch at the Nothe Tavern near the Nothe Fort. You'll need to book a table as its a popular place for sunday lunch. Its a carvery and you get loads of meat and all the usual trimmings that go with it. It's all piping hot and fresh too! Desserts there are huge and to die for......if you have any room left after the carvery! Prices are very reasonable too. You can find their menus by googling nothe tavern.....they have their own website.

I also had a huge mixed grill in there too, never ate again until the next day! Wife had fish fillet stuffed with crabmeat and prawns.

You could try the Sunray in Osmington, just outside Weymouth. Excellent Carvery on Sundays, again, you need to book though as its always busy. Good outside playground and garden for kids too
