Hi, will be in Durham sunday 10th aug,arriving early am, at travelodge what is best way from there by public transport to durham cricket ground.

You need to get a 21 bus from Durham bus station to Chester le Street and then walk - about 15 minutes

Or a train to Chester le Street might save a few minutes but a slightly longer walk

From the Travelodge it's about 20 minutes downhill walk to get to Durham Bus Station (about the same to the railway station). Buses go past Travelodge into Durham e.g. number 20 (catch it from the stop further up Gilesgate bank) or number 64 (from stop at other side of roundabout - walk over footbridge). Buses aren't as frequent on Sunday mornings.

Would advise going by bus rather than train as not many trains stop at Chester-le-Street (and CLS station is further away from the cricket ground). Get off at the top end of the street near the Wicket Gate pub in CLS and walk from there.
