We recently attended a wedding at the Tunnels Beach in Ilfracombe and used Ilfracombe Taxis during our entire stay. The drivers bent over backwards to help us and recommended places to visit, eat, etc. Wanted to back up what Sue M had wrote as we used the service due to her review.

We will be coming back next year to visit Lundy and we will be booking them to pick us up from Tiverton Parkway Railway Station. The driver Greg told us this shaves an hour off the normal time it takes us to get to Barnstaple by Train, more time to spend in lovely Ilfracombe!

Amazing how many people register on TA for the first time JUST to say how great a local taxi firm are :-)

And they pop up at regular intervals to keep this in the forum.

There are other taxi firms in Ilfracombe http://www.mikestaxisilfracombe.co.uk/ sounds really efficient

I hav already reported this thread a couple of times folks but to no avail :-/

I do apologise for not spending my life on trip advisor. I spend enough time trawling thorough reviews and normally wouldn't bother with writing one as I have very little time on my hands. I actually registered to give recognition to a Town and a business that deserved it.

P.s I don't get away too often so I'm now worried I will upset the trip advisor police if i ever post again. If and when I decide to write my second review I shall try to contact you all first to see what's deemed appropriate?

Sue, your original post commending the firm is still there.

The objection was to the one off posts about the firm. There are many good & helpful taxi companies with excellent recommendations in Ilfracombe and the point was to make a balance.

It is good to know if that the gentleman was accomodating and helped ot make your holiday a good one.

Methinks the OP doth protest too much!?
