I know that Mark Tours do customised activities.

Saying that, if your schedule is flexible, best time for Wadi's will be sometime in January / February. The weather is still a bit dry and you will find that some wadi's are low on water.

What exactly is the 'Wadi Tour'? Do we pick this up with any tour agency from Muscat, or we can do on our own? Any guidance will be very helpful, thank you!

Wadi is an Arabic word for: a valley, or a stream bed that is usually dry except during the rainy season. Exceptions are some Wadi's that flow throughout the year such as Wadi Shab, Wadi Bani Khalid, Wadi AlAbyadh ..etc.

During the rainy season (usually November to February) wadis that run throughout the year will have more water, and some of the seasonal wadis will run. Immediately after the rain, most streams will have some water. Seasonal wadi's are sometimes dangerous due to water collecting in various vallies in the mountains and suddenly breaking through to follow the stream bed to the Ocean.

Some of the tour companies can do various wadi tours, e.g. Wadi Bani Khalid or Wadi Shab are close to turtle beach in Ras AlJinz and people sometimes combine either or both with the trip to see the turtles.

Thanks for that. I do have some idea of what is 'Wadi', but the explanation is helpful indeed. I was looking for what this 'Wadi Tours' comprise, which locations, and how long. Are the travel companies situated in Muscat? Thanks again!

Wadi tour is probably a custom activity intended to visit a couple if Wadis, have lunch somewhere ..etc.. I do not think that it is a known tour with a fixed itinerary.

As I said, people sometime combine Wadi Shab with turtle beach. You have to do some hiking to see the interesting bits of Wadi shab that are not accessible by car. But it is a nice scenic trip. It is a good activity during the day, and you can then drive to turtle beach to see the turtles by night.
