why is it so hard to find a tour that goes to Agrigento? I will be staying in Santa Flavia, 45 min from Palermo. I want to spend a day seeing Agrigento on a Fri or Sat. Why can't I find anyone to take us?

I don't want to rent a car.

my only alternative if I can't find a tour that would pick us up from the hotel is to take a taxi to Palermo and then a bus or train to Agrigento.

Anyone got any ideas or insight?

Welcome to Sicily bunnycathy1!

Santa Flavia is a 2-hour drive to Agrigento, and Santa Flavia isn’t a tourist destination or a typical base for tours to Agrigento.

If you were to visit on your own by train, you wouldn’t go to Palermo – You could take the train from the S. Flavia-Solunto-Porticello station to Agrigento Centrale, and you would connect via Bagheria.

But contact Vincenzo and Valeria from Tour of Sicily for a tour that would include transport.

Best wishes!
