Enna, Agrigento

Looking for an advice. We are planning to drive from Catania to Agrigento in October and would like to detour to see Enna, maybe have lunch there, and end the day going to the Valley of the Temples. Does it sound feasible? Any advice on the timetable?how late can we enter the Valley and not to miss much? Do we need to book this visit ahead or can we buy tickets at the entrance? Thanks in advance.

It's possible, but you wouldn't have very much time at the Valley of the Temples (or the archaeological museum) if you were to have lunch in Enna at 13.00, and then drive from Enna to Agrigento. The Valley of the Temples would close at 19.00. Purchase tickets on arrival.
