Civitavecchia day at the beach

I am interested in going to a beach near the cruise port that is clean and suitable for spending the day in the sun and water.

We would like to avoid taking busses, but don't mind a short walk or taxi ride. We would really like a nice beach where we can people-watch.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Do you have the day in port and need to stay close to the area?

Yes, we have a full day in port and wanted to spend the day at a nearby beach. We are not interested in traveling more than a short distance from our ship... a small taxi ride away is fine for us. I read that Ostia Lido is popular however that is VERY far from our cruise port. We are not interested in going that far away. Thanks for your help!
