The best tip I can give you is to get a good guide book or two to Italy and read them so you can select the things and places that most pique your interest.

To get to Rome, there are several trains per day from Agnani-Fiuggi Station. The fare is 3€60 and the trip takes about an hour, give or take. To check the schedules go to www.trenitalia.com - it appears that there are no reserved seats and only one class of service. Tickets may be purchased no more than 7 days in advance, so when checking schedules select a date within one week's time.

Train is generally the best option in Italy, but there is no train station in Fiuggi. The closest is in Anagni, around 6 miles away. Buses between Fiuggi and Anagni may exist, but they will likely be infrequent. Anagni to Rome by train is about an hour.

There are Cotral buses to and from Rome. To Rome, page 5; from Rome, page 18.

The Cotral schedule lists all the places that buses go to from Fiuggi.
