Hi, there are reductions for over 65s on the boats. In the fares chart you will see the reduced prices in the second column under "One-Way Ticket Prices":

Museums will vary. For example the Torre Apponale in Riva is (I think!) free for over 65s and the Castle Museum in Malcesine has a reduced fee.

I think you need to be residents (with proof) of the EU to get senior's rates. We are in that age bracket but being Australian did not qualify us for the discount.

Hi Jayde78, that seems strange as it says in the small print (scroll down to the conditions on the ferry link above) that "..to all citizens (of every nation) over 65 years will be applied the reduced fare..."

To WFDScotland, it should be pointed out that the reduced fare doesn't apply at weekend or holidays, and that you must have a document or ID as proof of age.

For the fast services there will still be a supplement.

As Aussies we received the age discount on the ferries but only on the single voyages as the day tickets already had a discount. No proof of age was asked for. Guess we look our age!

We also had many free entrances to museums by producing our photo drivers licence with our DOB on it. Nobody seemed to care where our licence was from but they checked our age very carefully. It`s certainly worth enquiring and at times the ticket sellers were excited to exclaim <libero>

The discount varied and was mostly at the state museums and never at the private ones. Once we reached the lakes the discounts dried up as most of the gardens (my main interest) had no discounts.
