Bus/Train from Malcesine to Venice?

Is it possbile to go to Venice from Malcesine and back again in a day? I believe by looking at previous posts that you get the bus from Malcesine to Peschiera. Is the train station near where you get off the bus at Peschiera? Also once on the train when you get off at Venice do you still need to get a waterbus to reach the main area or does it take you to the main area? i am asking all these questions because iIhave a bit of a knee problem so don't want the journey too complicated lol.

Is there a website which shows the timetable at peschiera train station and the cost?

Thanks

Hi Lynette, yes bus from Malcesine to Peschiera (bus stops at Peschiera train station):

http://www.apt.vr.it/pdf/62-64.pdf

then train from Peschiera del Garda to Venezia ''Santa Lucia'' station.

Check that the train goes to S.Lucia station that is in Venice and not Venezia 'Mestre' that is on the mainland. For timetables and prices:

If you want you can also take the train from Verona to Venice and once you get off the train in S.Lucia station there wont be the need of waterbus. Enjoy!

Thanks for that.

Has anyone got the bus from Malcesine to Piazzale Roma in venice? If so, is it easy to walk from Piazzale Roma to St Marks Square? How long would it take?
