Shuttle service to get around Positano?

Is there a shuttle service in Positano for getting up the hill? We will be arriving by ferry into town and was wondering how the walk up the town is like?

Hi

You will see my other post to you.

There is a small internal bus that starts in the main square and runs up the hill (not from the ferry unfortunately, you need to walk that and the stairs), along the top of the cliffs past most of the hotels and then back down the other side through Fornillo and back to the square. We normally walk down to town from our hotel and use the bus to get back up the hill to the hotel.

We are staying at Villa Fiorentino. Does anyone know where we would get tickets for the internal bus....sounds like we would definitely want to use it to get back up to the Villa, but I am not sure about down. We have a car to explore some other parts of the coast.

Hi

You can either buy the tickets 1.50euro at the tabachi at the main square, which is best if you are catching it there as there is usually a crowd of people waiting, we usually buy 3 or 4 at a time, or on the bus in you get on somewhere in between.

You can also take the Priano bus and explore Priano, or take it to the top of the hill where the SITA bus stops for Sorrento or Amalfi, if you are going out for the day.
