trains from either rome or milan to soverato area

i am currently buying a property near to Soverato and am weighing up travel costs, at the moment we have to travel to Stansted from the north of England which takes us around 4hrs. My question is if we flew to either Rome or Milan or ? from a more northern airport and got the train to Soverato how long would it take and roughly what sort of cost ? any input would be very welcome.

Thanks in advance

Have a look at www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html for train schedules and pricing for both departure cities for comparison.

For pricing and schedule use a date within this next week as a reference.

Hello

beside Lamezia Terme airport, nearest one to Soverato, with Ryan Air and Alitalia flights, I suggest you to fly to Naples or Rome,

Easy Jet, Ryan Air, British Airways plus others serve Napoli Capodichino, Roma Fiumicino and Roma Ciampino airports.

From Naples would take about 4 hours to Lamezia Terme, from rome about 6 hours.

Usually you will have to change train in Lamezia Terme to go to Soverato.

For exact train schedule visit www.trenitalia.it

Hi, Thomsonfly.com flys from Manchester to Naples and then Naples to Soverato on train €32 and it would take over 4h 30min (on a good train like InterCity).

Your nearest airport to Soverato (I guess you already know) is Lamezia Terme. Ryanair from Stansted.

Your second nearest is Crotone Airport:

www.aeroporto.kr.it/default.asp…

an third, but also main airport in Calabria is Reggio Calabria's Airport.

http://www.sogas.it/en/

other option is to fly to Catania, Sicily. Thomsonfly.com Manchester - Catania and train €24 and 6h 30min (because the train goes on the ferry), if you rent a car 4hours drive.

www.thomsonfly.com/en/index.html…

If you can find a decent flight to Rome (may be Jet2.com Mcr-Rome) train from Rome to Soverato €68 and about 7h journey.

4. Re: trains from either rome or milan to soverato area

what about flying Ryanair from Liverpool?

Liverpool - Milan (Orio al Serio)

Milan (Orio al Serio) - Lamezia Terme

or

Liverpool - Pisa (Florence)

Pisa (Florence) - Lamezia Terme

-------

Manchester - Rome Fiumicino with Jet2.com

Rome Fiumicino - Crotone with AirBee.it

http://www.airbee.it/

Crotone is only 70 Km from Soverato, about 1h drive and the airport is right on the A road. The SS.106 Jonica takes you straight from Crotone Airport to Soverato.

Even better:

M'cr to Milan Orio al Serio www.ryanair.com

M'cr to Milan Malpensa www.flybe.com

M'cr to Pisa and Rome www.jet2.com

M'cr to Verona and Venice www.thomsonfly.com

From all of the above destination you should be able to get a cheap flight to Lamezia Terme with:

Hi, if you fly into Rome, there is a daily flight from Rome FCO to Crotone with airbee, www.airbee.it, they will also be starting a new service from Milan to Crotone shortly. From Crotone to Soverato, it is about 1hr car journey, or you could rent a car from the airport or there are also taxi services.

If you need any more help please let me know.
