Yes the area has some simple slopes but they are higher up, so don't stay at the bottom, you can always take the chair back down if needed.

My wife is a beginner and loved Sauze d'oulz as Gordon M says there are some good slopes around the Sportina area for beginners and some nice easy long blues from higher up leading down to this area as well. The ski school she was with were great. The runs from Sportina down to the village are reds which can get a bit icy. The best option for beginners is the chairlift back down. We went in January 2012 and this year went to Soll in Austria, it wasn't a patch on Sauze so we have just booked again for Sauze in February 2014. Also we found the area much cheaper on the slopes than most ski resorts you can afford plenty of stops for refreshments.
